Just pulling off the freeway, and all of a sudden the car is smoking like crazy, and 0 oil pressure on the gauge

    **** ****!!!!!!!!!
so i pull over, thought it might be the axle seal, there was oil everywhere
turns out it was the oil pressure gauge sending line, had a little pin hole in it

    freaked me out though

and of course they don't make the funky brass fitting the British leyland company thought it would be a good idea to use, so i had to jury rig it to fix it

so that was my excitement for the day

I drove my grand am for the first time in two months today. It was driving fine then at a light I stopped, and there were a few cars in front of me. Took a big ole sniff. "haha someone is smoking there clutch" Look over its comming from my car. The right front caliper was sticking, and getting very hot. Few wacks with a hammer it was all good :) Funny how the littlest things can scare the crap out of ya

You keep using words like "jury rig" and "cobble" and I'll start to think we're related...:D Now if you start using words like "cheesewizery" and "turning sh!t into icecream" you are my Brother...:haha: :D

I had some cheep Auto-Zone gauges in my old '66 Chevelle and the stupid plastic oil pressure line got a hole in it. I coated my boots with oil pretty good. That was the day I realized why you don't mount a mechanical fuel gauge inside w/o an isolator, the oil was bad enough.
