I am off in the morning of sunday to an adventure of checking out the ever ilusive 88 scostsdale burb 2wd w/ 6.2 auto and barn doors! At long last the right deal has popped up and I have the money to get it. a newer 6.2 and only $1,500 :yikes: :D :waytogo: I cannot wait to go see it. Of course I will bring the 82 and all my tools and my dad so I can drive it home. The guy is even going to town to get a new battery or two just to start it :D

1989 chevy suburban scottsdale model. 2500 2wd mr goodwrench 6.2 (assuming th400 as it's a 3/4 w/3spd) auto, cruise tilt, air, barn doors all for $1,500. drove it an hour or so home and it was so nice :D Must post pics soon as I can. :waytogo:

:haha: what I was meaning was that I am actually much happier w/ a 2wd :waytogo: and the 6.2 as opposed to a 4x4 and gasser. But in my 85 shorty... gasser all the way. maybe even a nice 350 w/ blower someday for that one :D

    Score!!

Sounds like a nice truck!..You might regret it not being a 4x4 come winter though (unless you have another 4x4 truck like me to use in the winter!)..nothing wrong with giving a 2wd rust free truck the "winter off!"..

I bet the 6.2 and 2wd will get good fuel mileage too,and a better ride than a 4x4...good luck with your "new to you" truck!.. :D
