On my way to Eastern Jersey last week, I got into a lull where I couldn't pick up Philadelphia radio stations, and was forced to listen to mid-Jersey stations... One was all New Wave on "the last Friday of the month". Anyway, I heard this song... Its hardcore, that is the only way I can put it. Just listen to the lyrics. It has earned a spot in my playlist for sure... :haha:

thats great, then again I have always wished I was born in the late 70's so I could have enjoyed the 80's. Not super old school 60's and 70's but not super rushed through life 90's 00+'s but just right.

Here beater I'll help you snap back to reality and keep your lunch down...

Of course it is, it's AC/DC after all.

I'm excited for some classic rock, Def Leppard is coming to town in a little while!

Saw Def Leppard and Journey last week in concert. The lead singer for Def Leppard's voice is going goin gone, but they still did well.

Yeah that is the same exact concert that is coming to fresno soon. Def Leppard and Journey. It would be a nice history lesson if nothing else. ;)

Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd this past Friday, won tickets off the radio and took my 11 year old. Great show. You know how some bands sound completely different live than how it sounds recorded, well Skynyrd didn't, the music sounded just like I was listening to a cd, except with the crowd added in.

They had the Orange County Chopper band open up for them. I really wasn't too excited to see them, had even thought about showing up late so I would miss them, but they weren't too bad. Had a bluesy, classic rock sound to their music. They played for about 45 minutes then Skynyrd came out.

Yeah but have you listened to the CDs since the classic stuff(pre-accident)? I think the new band sucks to begin with. I'd hope for them to sound different in person...

All the metal bands I go to see only ever sound BETTER in person.

Surprisingly enough or not so surprisingly Johnny sounds quite a bit like his brother. I have listened to the new stuff(post-accident) and it's pretty good stuff...especially Red, White and Blue...kick*ss song.

I definitely wouldn't classify Skynyrd as metal so I can't comment on bands that you may have seen. This is the first concert I've been to in a long time, I think the last one was KISS back in 2000...another great show.

the last 80's band I saw was Iron Maiden oh, bout 4 to 5 yrs ago. saw then in the 80 many times, I thought they still kicked ass. shreading guitars from songs like aces high and number of the beast, all the classic Maiden songs that I dug back then.

If you saw Neil Schon absolutely rip on his guitar, you would be impressed. In fact, Def Leppard's axemen sounded downright lame by comparison.
