so i wake up this morning to the sounds of large diesel engines and sirens. apparently, someone decided that it was a good idea to break all of the windows out of my C1500, and then light it on fire. by the time the firefighters got here, it was completely engulfed. i am SO mad. i have had the truck exactly one month today, and now its scrap metal. best of all, my insurance wont cover it, because i only have liability insurance on it. as if all of that wasnt enough, its parked behind my C2500. now that the C1500 has 4 flat and melted tires, its not going to be easy to move. no idea who i pissed of, or how i pissed them off. but if i ever find out, im going to kill someone.

WTF???? It sounds like someone in your area really doesn't like you. Was this "personal", or merely a random act of violence?

I wasn't really serious about it being timmay. But, man, I feel for ya. I'd be about ready to go HiPinion on a motherfocker.

Wow. That's horrible. I'm with Can - you didn't flip someone off at an intersection or something?

that totally sucks, any of your neighbors seen anyone around there before the fire?

i agree on your homeowners insurance should cover it, had some stuff stolen out of a vehicle parked in the driveway and my homeowners insurance paid for it.

something like 90 % of the time, the criminals come back to the scene.

Setup a webcam or video cam lookin out the window where the truck was, and catch those assholes.

    then go make them pay.

called the insurance company, and they said that because it wasnt in the garage, there's nothing they can do about it. so its looking like i'm out $2200 and a VERY solid truck . :(

I suppose that they would have been happier if the truck had caught fire in the garage?

Do you know for sure that all the windows were broke out before the fire? It could have been the FD that broke them, or even the fire. Did the FD say what part of the truck they thought the fire started in, or if they broke any windows?

I just ask because it could be possible that it caught fire on it's own. Broken windows and a fire don't mean it's suspicious. Anyway, just curious if the FD agreed that it didn't look accidental.

Either way, sorry to hear about your loss.

well, from my previous experiences, when windows are broken out, 90% of the glass goes inside. there is almost no glass on my driveway. if they would've blown out from the fire, i would only assume that they were broken before the fire started. they said it appeared to start in the area of the front seat, considering a manual seat, it randomly catching on fire is pretty darn slim.
