    Funny, my K5 has the same "pathetic" 305/700r4 combo........And FWIW, it does a pretty good job and has done so for 22 years.:deal:

    Well, may be YOU had a crappy 305, but mine just refuses to die, even after all the **** I've handed to it. Anyhow, this is verging on a tech post and is stinking up the Lounge.......:rotfl:

    Meant this as a pic post. I meant anemic in terms of power. This car's been as reliable as a P-38 can opener, and grandma says she'll continue to drive it and keep it maintained until the motor throws a rod or the wheels fall right off!

    Its a 4 door , make it a cruiser , hows it hood looking anyway . Didn't the fifties have lowriders with fuzzy dice , whitewalls etc , driven by guys with jobs :D

    I am so set in my ways

    4x4 = toys and camping
    Longbed = worktruck
    shortbed = hot rod
    4 door = cruiser
    2 door = muscle
    rare car = trailer queen to others , driver to me

    Hey, a dailly driver is a dailly driver. Mine [IMG] has a bit of a stereo system too make the dailly commute more enjoyable. Gotta do something too take the attention off the boring FWD.

    But what if your 2 door car has a V6 sitting sideways ??? [IMG] Not really a muscle car by any means, but not as boring as a 4 door.

    Actually guys, if I ever modify that Caprice, I'm going to save my cash up and get one of the 94-96 Impala SS spec LT1's to drop in it instead as a first mod, backed with a manual-valvebodied 700R4.
