The guy I bought my 86 K5 from was going to lift the truck so he put 4.11's in. My question is I want to run 35 inch tires and I want to know is this a good combination????

sounds good to me as long as you are running like a 700r4, a TH350 might even work well but with the 700r4 you could even get away with 4.56's

Yeah I am running a 700R4 so it should work fine right. One thing my speedo bounces and it appears to be about 5 or 10 mph off and is it my gears causing that?????

Lower gears will cause your speedo to be off if you are still running stock tires.

4.10 gears will work okay with 35" tires, though in my opinion something lower (like 4.56 or even 4.88) would be ideal since you have any overdrive trans......though I would not suggest going to the expense of changing out the 4.10's at this point.

No, the gears (assuming you are talking about the 4.10 gear set) should not cause the bouncing of the speedo, thought the combination of the gears and larger tires will cause it be off in regards to speed.

4.10s work well with a 700R4 with 35s. I know, as I have them. If I didn't have a built motor though, I'd want 4.56s. Actually, I want 4.56s anyway. It always helps to have a little more gear than you already have. Seems you're never happy with it.

The bouncing speedo is probably a messed up speedo cable... it is either damaged or is bent. You'd probably be well served to put in a new one. 4.10's and 35's is what my truck has w/ a 700r4... works nice... 4.56's would be nice too... but would hurt more on the freeway
