I want to listen to that song... ya know... the roof the roof the roof is on fire we don't need no water let the muthafawka burn... that one... but I don't know who did the original one...

So I have the Bloodhound Gang version... Coal Chamber... another song that's obviously not the original one by Bizzy Bone (we don't need nothin but the weed and a lighta)... and another one where no one says anything about roofs or water...

They're all good except the bloodhound gang one so I'm gonna keep them... But anyone know who did the original real deal one?

I'll do a search on Kazaa for it and find out /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh by the way I did some research, and Coal Chamber's version is actually called Sway... I wish I could download more of their stuff, but that's the only song I could get to go through by them /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

    I'm sorry, I just can't accept that /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif...

And actually, I can't say the bloodhound gang sucks completely, they did make the Hooray For Boobies CD with The Bad Touch, I Hope You Die, Three Point One Four /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif, Yummy Down On This, Mope (Hey pac man, what's up? Me you bitches, I'm high on crack!), and of course, The Ballad of Chasey Lain /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

It was The Bloodhound Gang. I remember when it first came out. Had the CD. Wasn't too long after that, maybe a year or 2, that other groups did remakes. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Bloodhound gang has been around since 1993. I'm still trying to find out for sure who did the remix version of it

The Bloodhound Gang did *a* song about "the roof, the roof", but the whole thing (the roof is on fire, let the mothafucka burn) predates the BG version by years. It's been a staple in hip-hop and rap since the 80's; originated at house parties where DJ's were mixing. Artists who used in the past on albums include 2 Live Crew, Kid N' Play (who I believe was mentioned), Too $hort, etc.

Download the Coal Chamber song "Big Truck"... I kinda think it fits for most of us on this site /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    [start lyrics]
too small, too small don't compromise
so have fast, too fast don't realize
have hand on wheel, set the sights, drive with me

too fast, too fast don't realize
so have fast, too fast don't recognize
have hand on wheel, set the sights, drive with me

    moving - motion
    said move, said move it

somebody better come and drive me

    BIG TRUCK

ain't no grave gonna hold my body down
ain't no grave gonna hold, hold my body, hold my body

    BIG TRUCK , come on
    [end lyrics]
