take a paper clip and bridge a and b ports on the computer plug in under the dash...turn key to on and count how many times the light flashes...should flash quickly a few times then pause then flash quickly again more times...look that number up(for instance 32) in a chiltons or haynes manual and you know whats up

by the way 32 is egr valve i believe

Pull the codes, and see what they tell you. If you can't decode them, post them here, and someone will.

Ha! We posted the same thing (kinda /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif ) at the same time!

BTW porkchop (thats what I had for dinner!) - FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE! This way, folks know more about your truck and its mods, and can assist better. Use the BIO section to describe your truck.

The paper clip thing will work, but if you're gonna keep the rig get a scanner like one from www.autoxray.com - apx $150, worth every penny. It reads codes and monitors all kinds of operating parameters and makes diagnosing drivability and code problems very simple.
