I caught Shinedown's version on the radio a month back, I though, hey this isn't bad, but thier .45 song sucks.

Just downloaded LS version (I own it now that I look on my greatest hits cd)

    *STOMP STOMP STOMP*

    LS Forever!!

Shinedown does the song justice but I'd rather listen to LS anyday. And yeah I thought .45 sucked, Tshy likes Shinedown, .45 and Simple Man are all I've heard so I can't say.

Skynyrd is definitely one of my absolute favorites. About 10 years ago I bought a three disc box set that is friggin' AWESOME. It's got songs that I had never heard before. Their live tracks are the ****! If you've never heard them do Jimmie Rogers' "T for Texas" or Merle Haggard's "Honky-Tonk Nigh Time Man" you had best FIND THEM and LISTEN, NOW!!! Steve Gaines' geetar playing on these two and "I know a Little" gives me the tingles. So sad he was only with them for the one album. I've seen them 5 times in concert. Even tho' it wasn't the "real" Skynyrd, it was the next best thing.

    RIP Ronnie, Steve, and Cassie...
