Great pics guys, looks like you had a blast. I may be mistaken, but I think there was a tad more water in the river this spring. Did Jason stay dry?

Jason didn't get stuck... and he stayed dry..
The river was actually down from the last time you guy's were out there.. Drough condition's pretty much.. but we did have quite a few river crossing's..
I'm ditching my open element air cleaner .. that's one thing I learned the hard way this weekend.. And.. most important.!!!
    I need locker's..
To watch "Frankentaco" climb obstacle's that seemed impossible.. it was pretty awe inspiring..
We'll plan another run here in the near future..
Ric .. when do you think your Blazer will be done?
Derf.. hope you plan to join us next time.. Jason should have his Jeep lifted by that time..
Corby.. your driving impressed the hell out of me... you did a great job for your first time out there.. and glad you had fun..
And anyone else who live's in the area.. hope to see a nice turnout of full-size's.. we were surrounded by Jeep's and Toyota's.. Corby, Dblazer and I were the only Blazer's out there..

Rocko, I've got 3 weeks to complete the job. The D60 is in and complete just need to do the 14ff. I ordered some U bolts from ORD, but they weren't the right ones so I got to wait for the right ones to come in.

Hey are you up for another River Run on Labor Day? We will be at Uvalde wheeling the Neuces River and you're more than welcome to come. Let me know.

    Check out this BOWTIE

If I can get my axle swap done.. and I definately need "locker's". .. I'd like to join ya..
After this weekend.. I learned the hard way.. I need locker's !!!
And I know where I need to finish trimming my fender's..
But.. to have my truck complete the whole "slab" run without locker's... i had a blast.. only got stuck once (buried my left front tire in a deep hole... and couldn't back out.. so I was winched out..

Hey there is nothing wrong with running the cable to get you out of situations like that. I've had my share of winch pulls even with lockers. It all comes with wheelin'....If you don't get stuck you're not trying hard enough.[IMG][IMG]

That question about the winch... It's kind of a custom made deal. I got the winch plate from my bud at 4Wheel Parts they had taken off a Jeep. I then took it over to my brother's house and after a few brews we got some metal that he had laying around and we went to work. I've used the winch many times and it doesn't budge. Come to Uvalde Labor Day weekend and I'll show ya. [IMG] [IMG]

    Hell Yeah!!!!!

I ran that river for years with open diffs.

No problem pulling you out. Just look at that Suburban in my album that I posted earlier plenty of help no matter how bad you or anybody gets stuck out there.

    Ric..
How far is the place your going from Austin?
And can I get more details.. I'm going to try and finish trimming my fender's before the next run i go on.. And find me a closed element air cleaner.. tired of sucking water through the open element air cleaner..
Ah well.. the pain's of testing a vehicle out..

Hey guys, The trip was awesome! It was a great turnout [IMG]

Hopefully, next time I get to bring my OWN truck ..... Thanks for letting me tag along Rocko.

No problem on the spotting, Too bad the guy in the Toyota pickup wasn't as appreciative [IMG] he might have actually gotten out without any damage ..... LOL

    Thomas.

I almost bet the Red Toyota flipped after we left.. remember he was having problems getting off the "stairs".. and Bob was going to winch him down.. [IMG].
Thomas.. did you make it out to Harold's Sunday? to find that Dana 44 8-lug axle?

I have heard nothing but raves from the Arlington 4x4 club about the trip. I am glad to hear it went so well! I am just disappointed I didn't get to go! But, sometimes I have to work on things other than the Jimmy.

Anyway, up here they are talking about doing this run much more frequently. Although we probably won't be back (as a club) for a bit. Afterall, we have that big run at Gilmer in September.

Lockers? I understand that! I get my new 4.56s and front and rear Detroit sometime this week. Hope to get them installed by end of month. If I get those installed and all my lights (660W) wired up, I just might be leading the Night Run scheduled for Gilmer!!
