Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later... just so happens, sooner won. Beefcake83 has a new home now. Turns out, my carb choke problem goes deeper than just the carb. When the previous owner swapped in the 350 for the original 305, he used most of the old components. Carb, distributor etc. Guess the distributor and other things were creating a vaccuum problem in the extreme cold. So with that, it's got a new home now, who's new owner (whos pockets are deeper than mine) has big plans to include TBI. I still have visitation rights, but needed something newer, injected and reliable. I will try not to be a stranger, and want to thank all of you for your endless help, and for creating such a great 'family' here at CK5. Grim, TRusty, and alot of others selfishly offer their help to other in need, and Steve sacrifices alot to give us this wonderful place to come together. Thanks again! Catch you guys on the trail sometime.... Gary

Yes.. you'll be back.. sorry to hear about your loss..
This is just a suggestion.. why don't you search for a 87 to 91 Blazer or Jimmy? They are out there.. and they are affordable..

    I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work. www.rocko.rockcrawler.com

Keep us updated on what you end up with Gary and don't leave us. There are many great people here without K5's...

Thanks guys... I miss the thing alot already. I'm gonna give the guy a week or tow, and go check out his progress. By then, he should have the TBI in, the body lift off, and maybe a suspension kit on. I'll be aorund, but don't know if you guys will welcome guys who made the switch from K5 to jeep... Yes, I know... but it'll have the heart of a K5 though, and it's owner will always be a former K5 owner.

We have a Jeep as well as my Jimmy...I have to admit for family duties my Jimmy is just too obnoxious and difficult to load the kids into.
