Up to a couple months ago I had never set foot in a jewlery store. Well for Christmas she got a key/heart diamond necklace nothing major but it was the nicest thing I've bought.:haha: Well today was 6 months together and I found myself back in that damn jewlery store. I got a small diamond promise ring. I had it in the glove box and asked her to put away my gps on the way to dinner and she found her box. Then the smile she had was more than worth it:D

Seriously though how the heck do they do that. I go and spend money that could be used to further the project but never even think twice about what I wanted to get her. talk about whipped....I guess more wrapper around her finger. oh well I guess she's worth it;)

hilarious thing is, I bet most of these chicks giggled out loud when they were in 5th grade and read about the "Indians" taking $23 worth of beads and red cloth for Manhatten. lol! ohhh the irony.

The love of shiny stuff MUST be in women's DNA or something. I don't think a diamond is any more beautiful than a hunk of travertine or granite or any other rock... but thats just me. :dunno: Personally, I think machined pieces of aluminum or steel... or the "engineers aesthetic" (think tube buggies) is way sexier... but what do I know. :)

x2...I think the art is in the function and precision. Tube buggies and rifles are my hobbies for that very reason.
