There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who get binary, and those who don't.
Learn some math.
Har har har.
Fixed it for you..... That way it is more ocnfusing for those who do not know what BCD is. Working on the SPG-60, part of the MK-86 GFCS, BCD was a second language that i was very fluent in. Virtually all T/S and maintenance/alignments involved BCD data entry and recall.
Yeah, you lost me there. I just know a bit of binary from my robotics technology course.
BCD != Binary
The number 16 in BCD: 001 110
The number 16 in Binary: 10000
Binary is a base two numbering system.
Binary Coded Decimal is a form of Binary, mainly used as a simple means of transmitting numbers across a data bus (as I'm sure you're aware)
This is what happens when some beginner geek makes a joke...
It's still funny though.
Once the junior geek signals that the bully danger has passed, the senior geeks emerge from their basements, shielding their eyes against the sun...
forget this binary crap.
IF IT AINT BASE 16 ... ITS GARBAGE!
i understood the joke but have been lost ever since...
01001001 00100000 01010100 01101000 01101001 01101110 01101011 00100000 01001001 00100000 01100111 01100101 01110100 00100000 01001001 01110100 00100000 00111111 00111111 00111111
There's no place like 01111111.00000000.00000000.00000001
Oh, **** this. I'm not opening this again.
