I'm not certain of the exact details, I'm at Sait taking my 4th year HD training so I was not at work. Not an employee of ours (Nabors Drilling), but of Sterling Crane was working in our yard moving skids setting up an AC Triple drill for commissioning............something happened and the Swamper fell and his head was crushed, he died in Hospital a 0300 this morning.

Unfortunately I do not know his name, Rest in peace. And Prayers for the family.

It is, his head was compressed to about half its width, he lost brain matter. S.T.A.R.S. air ambulance came on site to take him to hospital. where he died half a day later. But at least that gave his family time to day good bye.

I work in the safety field and its really heartbreaking to hear this kind of thing. Even though through OSHA and the like jobsites have become a MUCH safer place to work its still very dangerous and injuries happen all the time. And, unfortunately 90 percent of the time these industrial accidents can be prevented. I see this all too often, and many times the worker has a family and kids. :(
