When I try to start off too quick sometimes I feel a slip like the transmission is slipping, but it seems to be coming from the the rear of the truck. Has anybody else had this problem? Is it possible that the positraction could be slipping? /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

What kind of positraction is it? If its factory its impossible unless the carrier is broken, but if the carrier is broken the axles would fall out.

sounds like whta mine did when the tranny went out (broke the sun spool in it, which caused the shaking like breaking traction)

It's a stock positraction. I had an aluminum dif cover put on and when they took the stock cover off two of the carrier bolts were broken, the guy just replaced the bolts. Its been a couple of years now. What I can't understand is that it feels like its coming fron the rear of the truck. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

It feels more like a bad or slipping clutch in a stick shift truck. And the problen is it is random, it only happens once in a while. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
