Think I\'ve got my cruise control figured out, but......

I took the plug off the cruise control module today and checked all the wiring out. Everything checks out fine in the wiring. The wires get voltage when the corresponding switches are activated as well as the brake inputs. So, that leads me to believe the control module has gone south. Is that common? Are they available somewhere other than a dealer? I'm almost afraid to ask how much they cost. Any help is appreciated.

If its not working, check the vacuum lines. I was still having trouble with mine after repalcing the control stalk and some of the lines were rotter real bad. I replaced all of them and it works almost all the time now

It doesn't do anything at all. This one doesn't work on vacuum, it's all electronic. Should've mentioned it's for my 1996 Tahoe, not the 90 K5.
