I am seriously entertainig the idea of trading/selling my 72 Chevelle project. I regret selling the 90 K5 last year. I dig the Tahoe and all.......but it is not as much fun as the k5.

I would actually like to trade the Chevelle for a running/driving k5 project. What do you guys think??

    72 Chevelle SS Clone Project
1968 BB 396 w/ Edelbrock Performer Z-0 manifold & cam.(I have the numbers matching 350 if that is your thing.)
    TH350
    Power Disc brakes (front)
    Rust free floors
    New carpet kit
SS dash (idiot lights, not gauges)
    SS cosole
    SS Horseshoe shifter
    Bucket seats (seats are white)
    Grant steering wheel
    Cragar SS wheels
    235/60/14 front 245/60/14 rear w/ new Remington XT-120 tires
    Firewall stripped/painted/detailed
    Protect-O-Plate
    Build sheet
    All original paperwork
Clear title in original owners name (You could be the second owner)

And now for the Bad News
    Not a true SS
    Needs windshield
    White seats
    No headers or exhaust
Pinhole rust in upper wheel wells.
    Flat hood
    Needs headliner
    Body work 30% done
    Right fender dented but fixable

    What do you think??????????????????????????
I will base my descision on your replies!!!!!!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Fiddy fiddy, I'd go either way.

There's an ass for every seat, if someone comes up with the cash - bail out. If not, it doesn't cost you anything to sit on it.

It is summer, this is the time to sell a rear wheel drive. Someones looking for it, ya' just gotta find 'em.

Drive it around with a "4-sale sign", see what happens.

Didn't you just finish this thing ?

[/ QUOTE ] Trade the Tahoe for a K5. Both are 4 wheel drive, and if you enjoyed the K5 more, get ride of the Tahoe for a equeal value K5. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Keep your Chevelle, you've done alot of work to it, and there is nothing like the feeling you get from driving a hot rod you built yourself !!!!!

I still wish I had my first chevelle A 67 SS396 Convertible. I did a frame off job, POR'd the frame, 9" w/4:11's, tube A-Arms (upper/lowers), 4 wheel disc, T-56 6 speed trans w/hydro clutch, all new metal. Mine was a true SS and I should have never sold it but i had to move and would have no place to store it and couldnt afford the storage either.....but I digress.
Like they said, it's a clone but what does it mean to you? It's far cheaper, I learned, to buy one that is already done but I don't have the same gratification in knowing that I didn't build it.
    they sure are fun though
