I know a guy that spent $25K on a restoration and didnt make the truck look that nice. However when he put it up for sale it took over a year to sell it for $14 or $15K that it was actually appraised at. I could easily see someone putting $35K into a restoration if they wanted every detail done right, but I would never expect to resell the truck for what was invested afterwords.

like a person that takes a decent(read not great, not horrible) condition pickup and puts a $3000 crate motor in it and suddenlly the truck is worth $6000???? People need to learn you never get what you put into it out of it unless its something really rare or really special.

I wasn't aware that a "ground up restoration" included Tweety-bird mudflaps. Must have been a rare factory option. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
