Looks good. I like how you did the shackle flip. I also wish I had a big shop like that. My garage is too small!

Hey dude, the shop is my fathers, he's paid his dues for it I guess. It's a 50x60 and pretty much all we're currently doing in it is my Blazer and his FJ-40 Landcruiser on the other side. My dream is to build a shop around the same size soon and frame about 20x30 of it out into a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room bachelor pad. Quite a few folks doing that around here these days. It's a pretty good way to go just starting out cause whenever you're ready, you can rip all the framing out of the inside and use it on the house you'll build up the hill [IMG]

As for the blazer, I still lack brake lines, shocks (got the 4" lift replacement 9000s, thinking about getting 9012s though), transmission rebuild, conversion u joint, torque converter, and a new battery! It's still a project, projected running for 6 weeks out. Thanks for the positive comments though. We're getting rollin!

I've got a shop almost that big but my truck is too tall to fit in the door, by 4 inches... the same height as my lift kit. Life just isn't fair.

All you garage boys can bite me! I have done all my work in driveways and most of it in mine, which by the way is gravel, ever seen what you back looks like after laying on gravel for 4 yours, aint pretty.

Dude the K-5 is coming right along, should be a very capable offroader when you are done.

Ok yall suck. I have no idea who that NUT behind the wheel is. Sure.....

Actually, my parents lived out of that shop for 3 years while they built their house. What's now the office used to be the living room, has a full bath. And they backed their travel trailer in to take care of kitchen. It has 110/220, so laundry was taken care of. Then set up the bedroom out in the open. It was a neat setup. But you really couldn't throw much welding dust in there, for the bedroom. That's why I'd want to frame more out.

Garage?? What garage????? We just started BUILDING ours - right now it's only FOOTERS in the ground!! It'll ONLY be 22x22 with ONLY a 7 foot ceiling!! Lots of constraints with an older house in an older neighborhood with strict neighborhood association rules!!

    Hey Laketex,
Good looking K5, glad to see it's just about ready to run.
If you come down to DFW let me know so as to take a look at it, and maybe for some extra passenger balast.
BTW my blazer doesn't seem like its going to see the light of day anytime soon.

    good luck

    Javier

Thanks Javier. We'll have to do another Dallas run at the end of this summer I'm thinking. A few small trips like that so I can sort out all the little problems, then I want to go run the big dogs rock crawling trails. And an extra passenger is always welcome!
