A 14 BOLT IN A DRAG CAR ARE THEY FRIGGIN NUTS?

you know how heavy that is?

if they have a 700 hp moter then mabey they would need it and even then you should have a ford 9" way lighter and stronger too i think.

when my boss nees to he is going to a 9" rear in his gto.

hes got a 12 bolt with a spool, cromealy axles and 'C' clip elimanators ( makes it a ff)
    might sell it soon.

    Hey, I've got a 12b to sell....:cool1: :cool1:

    :D

A 14b in an '80 Firebird just doesn't sound right  ....Why NOT put in a 12b for a street/strip car? That 14 will cause them more problems in weight and clearance then it'll be worth in the long run to put into a car.

Might try just coming straight out and asking him to trade the 14 for your 12. Maybe a little cash on top would be an incentive. Kids love money, generally speaking. If you make a good argument you might get lucky.

i saw a 14 bolt in a 69 charger(on a trailer),it looked to be a serious drag car.i would think the weight would be beneficial, and i don't see clearance as a prob drag racing. I still want it though,it came from a blazer so there shouldent be much to installing it.

that would be cool,my brother convinced dustin that a 14 was better than a 12 bolt. so now i'll look like a coniving ass trying to sway him the other way.LOL

    Well hell, your right there.

Another 14 should come up soon enough though. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll change his mind after running it a short while. You never know.
