This trailer thing is starting to get on my nerves.

So I removed the broken leaf and the same leaf from the other side, got the hubs installed, locknuts tightened, cotter pins installed, bearing buddies installed, wheels put on.

Then I took the trailer off jackstands...

The side that had the broken leaf is reall unsprung. I have about 1" of clearance between the tire and the fender.

    :angry1:

I've got three options right now:

1)Try to find some 30.5"x1.75" springs
2)Find a helper spring to install
    3)Ghetto-rig a bump-stop/lift block

    Any ideas?

I go with number 1. There's gotta be a place out in Mesa that'll sell trailer springs off the shelf or at the very least be able make some.

Besides, the longer you stay in town the better chance we'll get to meet.

Got any spring packs around with more arch? Slap a few leaves in there. If they're too long you can cut them down in the chop saw and radius the ends with a grinder.

I would look for a new spring. If there is a Tractor Supply Company in town, they might have the spring you need.

Here's a link to the site.

As of last night , there is room for the tire now . Mitch put the leave back in , with a little zero rate type piece I had in the garage . Its bolted to the springpack with a brand new bolt , so its perfectly safe .

Now he just needs a new U-joint on the Blazer , and he will make it home fine :thumb:
