That's gotta be one of those guys who is a fanatical airsoft wargames player. I was at a gun show a while back and I couldn't believe all the equipment these guys were donning just to shoot each other with small plastic pellets. I guess on the positive side, if we ever get invaded, all they will need to defend the homeland is a real gun. They have everything else. I wonder if they had to sew two uniforms into one though for Sgt. Rotundo there....

There's a bunch of pics of that pot-roast-in-cammies floating around the 'Net - there's MANY threads in the Marines Open Discussion Forum at military.com mocking the airsoft warriors. If you're an airsoft player, you might wanna avoid the links - Marines who have "been there & done that" have had a field-day with these guys.

    You've been warned...

    One thread

Search results in the MODF for "airsoft"

I went to airsoft a couple of times... It was fun, didnt hurt all that much. There are alot of other things I would rather spend the money on though.

I've never tried airsoft myself. I've played paintball plenty, though.

I can see this "sport" becoming front-page news soon when a few more dumba*s kids hopped-up on combat fantasies hold-up the local convenience store with airsoft guns, and end up getting blasted by the cops. Gonna be like paintball in the late 80s-early 90s; the media will say it's evil, CA will outlaw the airsoft guns, Ralph Nader will use it in his '08 Presidential bid...
