Thomas the train wood track is overpriced, the maker should die writhing in the agony at the local car crusher while I laugh hysterically.

    That is all.

Got that stuff, it's the wavy tracks, curvy tracks, and risers tracks that kill you. Not easily made. Not to mention my Daughter dropped off the incomplete track this morning and G-son is coming tomorrow night for presents. Never let a girl shop for railroad track. :doah: Local store was sold out of most track types leaving 50 -300 dollar kits only. Store that had single tracks was expeensive, can we say reamed.

Ah but the deed is done, and his set-up is built with custom table. O worship thy husband woman. :saweet: Santa better bring me something nice unless he wants to ride home in a body cast. :rotfl:

I made out like a bandit with ebay last year or the year before with Thomas tracks. I think I got a huge kit with tons of pieces for under $50 a couple months before christmas, and we spent weeks playing with it in the living room. That setup was sweet!
It sounds like you got it done in the end, though. A track that doesn't move with the train is always nice... :haha: :thumb:

Boy Ratch I wish I'd of had more time but my girl sprung it on me a week ago. I had a week to build the table with slide out drawers and set. It was her job to pick up the track which she did in a girl kind of way. So I stopped in to "Mrs Toads" this morning to get the rest.

FYI, in this type of situation I highly encourage the use of fire.

Brio is the same for track, buildings, bridges, etc. Target has knock-off that also works with them. Most of my daughter's stuff is the Target brand. All you need to buy of the "Thomas" brand are the engines. I get them at a craft store called "Michal's". They have a 40% off coupon on any single item in the store in the paper every week. I just bought one thing each week. Used is always a great option, too. She got some of her stuff used as well.

They are over priced, but what pisses me off is that they have two sizes of everything. You have to be carefull not to buy the "metal" if you want the "wood".

I built her the table. That saved a lot of $$$. It's stronger, too-she was sitting on it while telling me where to put everything.
