I'm not talking 35's and 3.08. I mean the big stuff--like 44's, 42's, and 39.5's and mabye as low (or high /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif)as 4.56. i know everone is gona say "i wish it was lower" but how bad is it really?

42'S with 4.10's. It sucks ass in the 0-15mph range but is okay after that. I know my tranny isn't happy about it, 5.13's will be in next week... they're on backorder for 14 bolts /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

i've got 38's with 4:56's wished I had more to go, But unfortunately C12Bolt 4:56's are as good as it gets so if I want lower gearing C14BFF or D70 swap!

40's and 4:10 for me also. I run a stall at 2400 so its not too bad. My tranny likes to heat up in the mud. Going to go lower this winter.

i ran 38.5's and 3:07s wasnt that bad...honest..i went through 2 th350's..but i have no idea if it was caused by the tires. i jumped to 4:56 w/ the same meats and i didnt see the "drastic" improvement i wanted...tranny temp stays cooler. i still cant light em up. it may be the locker i dunno'

Depends on a few things like how much motor you have and if you have a stall converter.

How much motor you have is easy, more motor the better it is.

A stall will let the motor flash up faster and get you into power better even w/ taller gears.

I have 38s and 3.73s for now. I have 4.88s in the front 44 waiting to go in, and new in box 4.88s for a 10. As soon as I sell the 4.88s for the 10 Ill get gears for the 14ff and swap in the 44 front that already has gears in them. I have a fairly stout motor so the 3.73s dont hurt too much. Would rather have more OOOOOMMPH under 2500 but I can pull into traffic w/ no problems at all. Off road is a bit weak in Hi range for me, when I need 4wd I stick it in Lo and go thru.

Ha! Looks like I have everyone beat. I ran 44's with 4.10's and dual lockers for a year. Before that I ran 39.5's with the same gears. I have a 350 and SM465. It was really not that bad, especially on the road. The only time it was really bad was on STEEP hills where I just couldn't go slow enough. I'm now running dual detroits with 5.13's. I set them up myself...It can be done!
