throttle valve cable

    will the TV linkage cable from a th350 fit on the 700r4?? the 700 is going into a 79 k15, need to know if i can use the original cable????

    No you cant use a t 350 cable on a 700r4. The cable on a 700 is not a "kick down cable" It is a TV (throttle valve) cable. It controlls the fluid pressure and how the trans shifts in relation to the position of the throttle. It is also fully adjustable so the trans will shift properly.
    The 700r4 needs the TV cable to operate. It also must be adjusted properly or you will fry the trans.

    The TV cable for the 700R4 must also be connected properly to the carb, with the correct geometry to ensure that it moves the right amount as the throttle opens. Get it wrong and you'll smoke your 700R4 pretty quickly. Holley or B&amp;M transmissions can probably provide that info for you.

    listen to these guys they're right, I now have to plop down money for my new raptor w/ income tax returns instead of getting a winch and lift, won't make that mistake again though

    wanna buy a badd ass tv cable for your 700 then check out bowtieoverdrives.com or look at the chevelle magazine theres a step by step on how to hook up and adjust the tv cable.
