He's not a Hedgehog like Ruby but we think he's pretty cute all the same. As the title says, we call him Thunder Pig as he likes to run around his cage makin a big ole racket.

Cute little guy, I love the name. I used to call Ruby, "STD", Spikey Thing of Death.

So what is it? Guinea Pig? I like the name - just don't know much about rodents.

Yup he's a Guinnea Pig. He's a pretty cool little critter. Likes to cuddle which Jenn thinks is the bestest deal.

Are they much trouble to take care of? Good around kids? How do they taste with BBQ sauce (sorry, couldn't help myself). My 5 yr old saw one the other day and asked me all about it.

You pester it enough a pig'll nip ya and yes it hurts. Takes alot of pestering however. All in all a pretty good pet for kids. Clean it's cage, make sure it has water, guinnea pig food and the occasional carrot or watermelon and you'll have a happy little creature.

    Here's another picture just cuz.

As for BBQ sauce I don't know. Doesn't have much in the way of meat so it'd prolly be more trouble than it's worth.

Thunder is a pretty fat critter though.

Not a Rodney. Maybe a Harold but definately not a Rodney. :haha:
