Were you speeding? If you did something wrong, own up to it.

I have not clue. I tried to get out of one because he wrote the wrong color, but it didn't work.

    go for it....

I'd try to get it dropped,if you don't think you were at fault..maybe the judge will give you a break?...

I once got a summons in 1986,to appear in court for failure to pay a parking ticket in a town near Boston I had never been in my whole life!..they had my plate number listed correctly, but the vehicle was listed as a red Ford F100 pickup!..I hated Fords, and had never owned one until 2 years ago,so I was sure it wasn't MY truck!.. (maybe someone "borrowed" my plate??)..I doubt it!..

I called the clerk of courts in that town--she said if I could prove my truck wasn't there that day she would get the summons dropped..so I had my boss make a copy of my time card showing I worked that day,and he wrote a statement saying my truck WAS at the job site!..he was a firefighter, and I had a friend of his on the police force endorse it,and notarize it..I never heard from them again after I mailed it in...

You got nothing to lose if you try fighting it,so you might as well..

yea i just talked ot the police department and they are going to call me back about it, they thought it was very strange they even ran the plate numbers again to make sure i was telling the truth, My biggest problem though is i am unable to make the court date becasue i am out of state for a while now

Dont worry you wont be able to get it dropped. The officer can ammend his ticket at any time it presents itself....He has your license and signature ...thats enough proof no matter if he made a mistake on your Oldsmobuick....Tell it to the Judge ....

If he can't get the car right, How can he say without a reasonable doubt that he didn't have the wrong vehicle? Fight it always.
This is not a country where your guilty until prove'in innocent yet.
    Let them prove it.

You can ask for a postponment because your at school out of town.
Many tickets get thrown out but it's your call.
I think a 20 over ticket is good for 4-points. Can you afford that?
