So its a weird subject but still kinda important... I swap tires on my race car , but I also started doing it on the K5... swapping to AT's when towing/putzing around, etc.. but then swapping to MT's when going offroad.

My question is, is this gonna cause any long term problems? (im thinking like lug nuts, etc)

Nah it shouldn't harm anything. I do the same thing, run AT's on the street and TSL's for the trails, and I haven't had any problems with the lugs or studs. I did just replace all the rear studs when I put new axle shafts in and I'm going to do the front studs when I rebuild the front axle next week, but thats just because they're 14 years old and I figure it's time for new ones.

I do it all the time. I have 2 sets of tires and wheels. I put on my 33" MTs for hunting season in the fall and run them all winter.
In the spring I put on 31" ATs because I tow a lot more on the highway in the summer. My K5 tows better with the 31" tires on it.
I have done this for many years with no problems.

I ended up destroying my factory ralley whels on my firebird from swaping every friday night to my welds with slicks. That was after 3 yrs of doing it almost every friday. I wore out the acorn part of the wheel. No problems with lug nuts or wheel studs though.
