any1 see that assistant DA get busted in last nights episode??!?! The scum bag saved us all some $ by offing himself when the tac-team moved in. :thumb:

Most annoying part was the moron's sister speaking at the city council meeting.... what a stupid bitch. If I had a brother and he got busted for being a pedo and the cops lit his ass up, I'd buy them a beer and say "nice shooting". I don't understand fanatical family loyalty... at all. I love my family, but if one of them did some evil ****, I'd kick their ass to the curb (ie never deal with them again, ever) so fast they'd never knew what hit them. Some people out there have a family member who is a ****in' serial killer and they still stick with them / support them. Thats some crazy crap.

Basically, the 50-something year old ADA in the next county over started chatting on the net with the decoys... including sending naked pics to (what he thought was) a teenage boy. The standard graphic "I'd like to do" this and that crap was there.... they used their PC gear to determine that the chatter was at the house of this DA guy. They took it a step further by exchaning phone numbers and then having their voice actor talk to this creep on the phone. More sex talk... more propositioning etc. and they used some bling telephone gear to determine that it was definitely the DA guy talking on the other end.

In Texas, all of the above is enough for a conviction, you don't have to actually meet the child... so the five-O took the evidence to a judge who issues an arrest warrant. The bad guy is in a different county, so they take the evidence to a judge over yonder also... who agrees. The chief of police then contacts some cops in the other county and they start to coordinate to bring this scum bag down. In the mean time, Mr. DA has started deleting his myspace account etc and the cops get worried that he is going to destroy all the computer evidence etc so they decide the need to make their move ASAP. A judge agrees and gives them a search warrant. Turns out there is a cop that has known this guy for 20 years so they get him and have him knock on the door hoping that a familiar face will coax the guy into opening the door. The DA guy is home, but doesn't answer.... so the cops call in the tac team. 45 mins later, the tac team is ready and makes entry. They 'meet' the guy in a hallway. He has a small caliber handgun in his hand. I'm sure they are telling him to get on the ground etc, but all he says is "I don't want to hurt you guys" and then he proceeds to shoot himself in the head. They try to help him and do a helo medivac but he's toast.

The cops seize all of his PC stuff, but apparently his PCs HD has so much security bullcrap on it that they actually had to send the drive back to Sony to see if they could crack it and get all the info off it. God only knows what they are going to find on that PC. In a case like this, I'm kinda surprised that they couldn't call in a favor and have the FBI/NRO/CIA have a shot at it.... if anyone can recover stuff from a PC you'd think it'd be them. At any rate, the guys sister goes on and on talking about what an injustice this is and how the group that stops these sick pedos is serving as "judge, jury and executioner" and crap. What a moron. Its been a long time since I wanted to slap a woman silly. lol.

I have some issues with that series of "stings", but it sounds to me like he did the right thing for himself, the taxpayers and his family. His sister is just grieving and probably can't believe he would do it, hopefully she'll come to grips with it eventually.

To clarify; I do think all of these guys are dirtbags, but the show itself has seemed sleazy to me for quite a while, it stinks slightly of entrapment or at the very least encouragement.

Again, before the flaming starts; I agree these guys need to be locked up, just something makes me uneasy about the show.

yeah, these things do reak of entrapment. On the other hand, I don't see how else you could catch them... other than after they have abused a bunch of kids.

I have the same thoughts on it, and I kinda wrestle with whether I think the show is encouraging behavior that wouldn't normally happen.
But then I see how some of these guys try to run, how they obviously know what they're doing is wrong and illegal, and it makes me think it's not entrapment as much as self-grave-digging. The show is just handing them the shovel and pointing out a plot.

The moral conflict probably comes from seeing how the predator thinks he's got a willing "partner", and he's not using any force on the victim. But, there's a reason young people can't vote until their 18...

It's also like putting a bag with a million dollars in it on the side of the road. Some people think it's ok to keep on the spot, others think it's better to report to the police and wait to claim it if no one else does. Not the best anology cause just about everyone wants a million dollars...I don't think there are that many people that want 13 year old boys...

    :haha: :haha:
Boy George /Culture Club just came on the pop station...

If nothing more it sure as hell lets us know how many whack jobs are out there searching for children to have sex with. And I never saw one that said the child was over 14. Not 16 or 17...This still just makes me feel ill...

I thought of the entrapment thing at first. That is until the local news station got with the DA/FBI/CIA/& whoever alse was involved and set up several different stings to occur in the same house. These guys are freakin' idiots. Not only does the neighborhood look off somehow but the series aired over a period of months so the second and third batch had a chance to see the story. Yet they still showed up.:eek1: With that in mind I say fry 'em up good and cripy. One of them here was a swim coach at a gym for youths. String 'em up by the balls at the very least, publicly even.

yeah they are retarded. but i guess they're just som fiends or some sh!t. hell i'd give myself props for being that motivated. (in something different of course.) if all that was on the line then damn. Also, the whole entrapment thing. i like the show. I mean what better way to bring out the worst in someone then to show their disgusting acts on national television. My town just passed an act that makes extreme sex offenders put signs in their yards to warn others. wish they had that in my old neighborhood. our damn school bus stop was right in front of a child molesters house, and the only way you could find out was to go through all that police crap online. :eek1:

i don't beleave in entrapment.you either will or won't. catching those who will is a good thing.and i think profiling is good also.i get it sometimes myself. with my long wig and tattoos.but i have nothing to fear so it turns out well.if you look like your doing something wrong, you probably are.and if you aren't thank the officer for doing his job and not eating "DOUGHNUTS"..OH and Ratch.... what the hell do you listen to.:haha: NO POP STATIONS:rotfl: :rotfl:

:haha: :haha: You're the only one who caught that... I'm typing in a thread about sexual deviants and a sexual deviant comes on the radio singing like a sissyboy or all out female...

I'm on the fence about the entrapment idea. There's something that just feels illegit about the sting, but I'm all for nailing these guys. When a grown adult is sexually excited over pre-pubescent or pubescent boys or girls, enough so to actually take action, they need to be controlled externally.

I'm not 100% on this, but I thought on one of the shows I'd seen, they said they do minimal enticement, they just kind of say yes or no to the advances of the predator, and the predators lure themselves out.

if there is a gray area here, its the part of the texas law that states that no meeting (or even attempt to meet) has to occur. This seems to open the door to potential for bad times. On the other hand, if some guy chats it up with a kid that says they are 13 for hours/days... sends porn pics... and then drives over to their house for a "meet" of any kind... they need to be hung up by the nuts.

I dont know if I believe in the entrapment idea either. You either will do something disgusting, like pursue a 13 year old girl or you wont. I wouldnt do it no matter what the advances were, so to say they were led on or cohersed into making advances I dont buy.
