Depends on if you like the noise or not. When I rebuild my motor, I'm putting one in mine /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Gear drives belong on muscle cars... they suck to listen too all day on the trail.
When are you puttin' that motor in?

I like them for some reason. I have one in a 396 in the truck Blazer, but it's rarely heard over the header dumps. When the exhaust is capped, it's loud.

I put one in the SB400 in my blue Blazer. Not as loud as the one in the big block, but still noticable.

I'd say run it as long as you don't mind the sound.

i was gonna have one put in my 383, but decided against it, If im listening for a sound out the truck somewhere i dont want to have to sift through another sound... Im reserving that whine for a blower.... /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif (someday)
