Besides the perches, what are the differences between the two. Are the axles the same, are the brakes the same, things like this.

I think 3/4 ton SF is 6lug and a 1 ton FF is an 8lug.
Thats all I can think thats different.

The only difference is smaller brakes/hubs on a 3/4 ton. Everything else is the same.

Shock mounts are in different locations.

    The shafts are identical.

    The brakes are different.
    a. 1 ton uses 13 x 3.5" brakes
    b. 3/4 ton uses two different size brakes
    1. 13 x 2.5"
    2. 11 x 2.5"

The 3/4 and 1 ton are identical axles if you stripped the brakes, perches and shock mounts off. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Uh uh uh ... but people talk about the mythical 6-log 14-bolt, which being a 14 bolt woulda been in a 3/4 ton, no? (I say "mythical" as I've not seen one in person.)

    And yeah, my 14-bolt is only a semi-floater (8 lug though ;-). But gummit, I got a TH400 pushing it ;-)

Actually if you look at the 90's series 3/4 ton trucks some of them have a 6 lug 14 bolt sf. I have two that sit in the parking lot at work.
