yep. here's some of the 1000+ pics we took.
edit. oops - forgot the pics. hold on.
here they are (we flew on a fokker!! )
...more to come.
So who takes the pics, You or Your Girlfriend? They always seem to look professional.
more. and if you wait a little bit, i'll have even more.
my wife and i did all the photo taking together. we're both pretty artistic, particularly her, and we just happen to have a really freaking amazing camera - that's why mine turn out good. i think you could attribute some to skill, but having a nice camera increases your photo taking abilities by 100%. kind of like the 5 hp you get from putting a ck5 sticker on your truck.
Opps........I meant Wife Anyways the pics You Guys take always seem to be the natural kinda in a National Geographic kinda way
Where exactly in southern Mexico were you?
I'm thinking of retiring to Mexico sometime after my parents pass away which hopefully won't happen for another 20-30 years.
Just gonna wait til the time comes and then sell everything I own, cash out all my credit cards, take the money and run for the border. Gonna look for someplace along a beach somewhere and live the easy life after that. I've got good friends here in town thinking about doing it within the next 5 years or so. They're trying to get me to go with them but I say no because I have my two kids to live for first. Once the younger one turns 18 and gets out of high school, I'm gone. Just depends on how life is treating me at that time. Heck, I may just leave right away then instead of waiting for my folks passings.
cool pics man, how bout some more?
yeah, lots did turn out really great - national geographic stylie. thanks!
if i told you exactly, you wouldn't know where we were for the first half of our trip. it was a little place called san pedrito (community of 90 indigenous people displaced by the civil conflicts there) which is an hour and a half SW of tuxtla gutierrez. second half of our trip was in san cristobal de las casas. i'm sure you can tell which pics are of the nicer place (san cristobal) and which of the incredibly poor (san pedrito).
last foto is a pic of wheat juice being served up. i enjoyed it too much and threw caution to the wind on the safety of the water. needless to say, montezuma got his revenge on this gringo for a day after 2 and 1/2 cups of that stuff.
here's some pics of my hot wife, and teresa - victor's wife. she's really cool. victor, teresa and manolo (the doctor) live about an hour away from mexico city, which is a 20 hour drive from where we were. on the first day teresa cut her finger really bad. she had to have three stitches - didn't even drop a tear! she bled for 2 days even w/ the stitches. good thing we had a doctor, or it would have been a 1.5 hour drive to get her back to medical care!
ok, so here's mostly pics of Claire. she became really popular at the hostel when she made french toast for everyone one morning.
and the last couple. if any of these photos spark your interest, there's about a hundred more of that particular topic, so i could post some more up if you have more requests - except we didn't take many photos of ourselves, so not too many more of my hot wife.
you are a wicked lucky guy
very very awsome... That is some great photography skills, and a great service to humanity what you were doing
awesome pictures, looks like a great trip! thanks for sharing
