Too many projects..........So little time.

    I think I may have the most number of projects going all at once. See If you can keep up. Here goes.

    1. 1971 Chevelle SS. I need to pull the 396 out. Clean and detail engine compartment. Then install the 454 (Woo Hoo it's done /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif)

    2. 1972 Chevelle SS. Install 396 that I am removing from 1972 SS. Put windshield in. Finish body work and paint it.

    3. 1974 Blazer. Finish 350 (from 1972 Chevelle) build. Tear out both 10 bolts that the previous owner installed /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif. Install dana 44/12 bolt. Install SM465/205.

    4. 1976 Chevy 1/2 ton. Remove factory replaced 350( see Corvette project below),SM465/205 dana 44/12 bolt. Remove clutch brackets/linkage. Swap fenders with 1974 Blazer. Lift, tires, wheels.

    5. 1976 Corvette. Remove cracked 350. Install factory replacement 350 from 1976 Chevy 1/2 ton. Tear down cracked 350.

    6. 1987 GMC Jimmy. Rhino line tub, roll cage, lift, wheels, tires.

    7. 1979 Ford 1 ton. salvage leaf sprung Dana 60/60 front/rear (Front 60 is a driver side pumpkin for a future SFA swap in my Thaoe. (Getting the whole truck minus engine for $300.00 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif)

    Don't forget the privelage of having me in your garage soon... I got a free bumper for my Explorer that I'm gonna get Tuesday if the snow coming down right now isn't another bad storm /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Tomorrow it's off to the Trader's Shopper's Guide building to put in an ad for the X... Now I gotta decide what the thing's worth and if I want to risk mentioning I'll trade for a Suburban /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

    Well I think You've got me beat. I only have...

    1. 1971 Chevelle SS. Need to put the body back on the frame and start the restore of the whole car. The whole thing is apart an is in the basement.

    2. 1968 Chevelle Malibu. The drive train and interior are not too bad now. Need to do body work and paint it plus misc small stuff on it.

    3. 1982 Blazer. All tore apart in the garage trying to get ready for Moab. Its going to be real close...

    I sold two other Chevelles already. I think I'll hang on to these ones. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Geez, you have me beat, too! All I have is a 79 Trans Am that needs to be totally redone, a 92 Yukon that needs work, and about 5 or 6 Trans Ams and Firebirds that need to be stripped for parts! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    1) 1954 IHC RC162 COE car hauler - major project

    2) 1966 GMC 1502 (3/4 ton 2wd) Camper special - restoration project

    3) 1966 GMC 1502 4x4 conversion project - major project in process

    4) 1979 Chevy K10 daily driver w/ minor upgrade projects

    5) 1985 Chevy S10 daily driver but plan on V8 conversion and replacing the body with 1948-52 Chevy or GMC body.

    I never said I had any money either... Most of my projects were free! Every project truck except for the 79 K10 I picked up for free /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Must be nice. Seams like I always gotta pay full price for about everything. Did get a deal on a tower for my big antenna yesterday, but that's about the first good deal to come my way in a long time.

    I have driven all over the West coast to get these free deals but everyone was worth it and all given to me by complete strangers, most over the internet. Just right place at the right time for me.

    Let's see...it's pretty simple really.

    '86 K5 project that needs a new motor but will get by a little longer on the swamp motor

    '99 Prism needs new shocks and struts...yeah it's a project to me, shaddup

    and after all that's done, i want to start building a chopper from the ground up!

    1. wireing harness swap for 1973 K20.
    2. 454 swap in for 1973 K20.
    3. 350 ( from 73 K20) swap in to 1977 C20
    4. 454 ( from 77 C20) clean, new heads, reseal, prep for install into muscle car.
    5. sell 77 C20, buy gas economical toyota 4 banger 5 speed pickup
    6. get either muscle car, 1958-1961 apache fleetside, or mid 30's chevy coupe for high power 454.
    7. ...
    8. Profit.


    somewhere in there, I also need to return to school, get a better job, pay down a ( decent sized) debt, possibly move to a better state, and etc.

    I'm starting to catch up on mine:

    The current ones: (1 year to 2 years)

    1) 1980 GMC- got it all together and running, but I need to build and install a better motor for it.

    2) 1976 "truck Blazer". Just got it going...only needs paint.

    3) 1976 Camouflage blazer. Pull 454 out of a parts Blazer, put it in the camo. Replace rear springs and rear axle.

    4) 1981 Crew Cab (the little crew cab) Rear axle yoke, water pump, intake, carb, valve covers, clutch.

    5) 1981 Crew Cab (the Big Crew Cab) Build 468 motor and put it in, swap 4.10 gears for 4.56's, rear shackle flip and lift, remove married SM465/NP205 and install 2wd SM465 with divorced 205, make drivelines. Replace inner fenderwells, core support and rear doors.

    6) 1975 K5 Blazer. Have 041 casting heads rebuilt, put together 327, install 327 after removing tired 350.

    7) The Red Truck. Put heads on 350 after replacing valve, remove old 350 and put better one in. Find 3.73 8-lug Dana 44 front and put it in. Replace front springs and front right fender.

    8) 1984 GMC 4x4. Pull 1/2 ton axles out, put 3/4 ton axles under it, bolt down cab, re-wire everything, put on and bolt down bed and front clip.

    9) 1976 Suburban. Install motor, tranny/t-case, master cylinder and brake booster, doors, do body work and paint... or just part it out.

    10) 1987 Utility Bed truck. Put better snow plow on.

    11) 1973 Int'l Pickup. Front axle shaft.

    12) 1964 Int'l Pickup. Starter, body and paint on driver's side.

    On the back burner: (4-8 years from now)

    1) 1968 Jeep Wagoneer. Motor mount, tranny, fuel tank/lines, lift, tires.

    2) 1974 Scout II. Possibly motor, clutch, carb.

    3) The school busses...paint, interior modifications.

    On the very back burner: (8 years from now to my retirement)

    1) 1972 GMC Jimmy. Front axle, motor/tranny/t-case, body.
