Ah the price ya pay for free.
Tuesday night at the end of my shift one of the lease trucks comes in on the hook.
The driver managed to pump both tanks full of gas before he realized it(freakin idiot!!)
Anyway we have all this gas that is being pumped into barrels and it is just gonna get hauled out ASAP and I am low on cash and on a 1/4 tank and hey it looks like gas LOL
I figured that I had about 7 gallons in the tank and would mix about 10 gallons of the tainted gas.
    That plan went to sh!t.
The transfer pump we have although it is a POS and takes 20 minutes to get the damn thing working, once it goes ....
After about 3 minute i asked Kevin to see what my fuel gage was and he said over full... /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif
That fawker dumped 25 gallons of that deiselgas in no time flat.
Made 3 trips so far and thank god I am at a 1/2 tank and can put some "good" gas in it LOL
Won't idle under 1500, smokes like a train, stinks like deisel, pings and it feels like a plug fouled out.
Oh yeah that was a good idea.

Hhahahaahahah,,,,,errr I mean man that sucks!

I did get an awsome laugh out of this post though... not cus you learnt a lesson.. cus I had this girl friend about 13 years ago that filled her plymoth arrow with diesel. It wouldnt run at all..

I had to empty her entire fuel system flush with gas and overhaul the carb... Then I busted her with another guy... bought a 12 pack and every time I had to go I went in her tank /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

    Oh my wilder days....

About 10 gallons less and it would have been good to go.
Stupid? well I guess that is all a matter of opinion.
I didn't zactly want 25 gallons but thats what I wound up with LOL
1/4 tank 300 miles to go and $2, I was gonna siphon it out at first but I figured WTF and just ran it.
It runs good over 2500 and 95% of the time it is at 3500.
The 2 stop lights sucked though, I thought I was gonna pass out at the one.

The funny thing is, I know a couple of guys that throw a gallon of diesel in with every fill. They swear it helps the engine run cleaner and keeps the top end lubed. I have yet to try it but I see these guys drving around every day with no trouble......

When I worked for the airlines in Vegas, a few guys took home a quart of jet fuel for each fill up and said it made the autos run better and cleaner..? Don't know didn't try it.
