Would that cause lower oil pressure at idle? Would too much oil actaully be bad? toomuch = 1 quart more

What wieght of oil are you running, and how warm is motor ??? I've ran 20/50 and it really brought up the pressure. 10/30 in warmed up motor at idel will read fairly low. Next motor build up will include deep sump pan, hi-volume/hi-pressure Melling oil pump, and heaviest duty oil cooler I can find.

20w50 runs a hell of a lot better in my engine also.about 10 more psi on idle than 10w30.
