Took the wife\'s 35\'s and put them on my truck.. shhhh !!** Pics **

We're trying to troubleshoot a vibration problem on her Tahoe after adding a 3 inch body lift and 35 inch bfg at's on 15x10 in. Rockcrawlers.
Ever since the lift, The Tahoe develop's a bad vibration from 35 to about 45 mph.. violently shaking the steering wheel.
So I added the 35's to mine, test drove and the truck rode fine. Put my 33's on her Tahoe, rides much better..
What could it be? Is the Tahoe rejecting the 15x10 steel wheels?
    Anyway's.. here are the pics..

I might have to keep these.. so Pam's Tahoe can ride better. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Russell, I don't know about you and your sawzall. Seems like you have a hacking problem to me. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Charles, yes you are a bad boy. And you better believe it's only temporary cause there's no way you're getting my tires... forget the ride. Besides you don't want bigger than 33's remember? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sounds like you have a wheel that isn't balanced properly. If it was on the front of the Tahoe, the wheel would shake. If that tire is on the rear of the Blazer, it might not be noticable.

Next time, if you think it's the tires, swap the front and the rear. If it is the rims/tires, the vibration will change.

If the front tire causes it, the steering wheel will shake. If it's the rear, the seat will vibrate more than the steering wheel; if the steering wheel vibs at all.

    Thomas.

    BTW: Love the 2 1/2" on 35s!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I know how to fix it, I'll trade her my 33s for those 35s! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

you might want to check and see that the wheels are straight.

i bought some 15x10 black rockcrawlers for my wife's jeep and had a wobble in the front. it turned out that one of the wheels didn't run true. had a wobble to it.

if that's not it, you might need some stabilizers to control the 35's that the ifs wasn't designed to handle. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Thanks everyone..
I think it's the Wheel/Tires not being balanced properly.. or a wheel isn't truely round..
It rides great with my 33's on it.. I drove it today.. and much better.
She busted me huh? lol.. she was lucky I stockpiled those 35's when I sold all my other trucks.. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Anyway's.. she'll have her 35's back today.. it was fun while it lasted..

Try to sell Pam on the idea that her truck would get better gas milage if she were to keep the 33's /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. I don't think she will go for it /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif.
And by the way Russell is like a mad man with a saw. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Billy... are you crazy!!! If I wanted gas mileage I would be driving that little Tracker that's sitting in the garage. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
