I never taken the hard top off a K-5 before. I removed all the bolts along the bed sides and the cab. I got a freakin hi-lift trying to get this thing off it wont budge its just pressing the floor into the ground. Its an 84' and I dont know the last time it was removed, HELP ME! Im working on it as I type. /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

STOP! Don't do any more prying. Take off the interior panels enough to get to the bolts in the very back. There's a bolt under each bed rail that bolt into the hardtop from under there. Make sure you get these out or you'll end up breaking something. Once they are out, the top should pop off without too much trouble. The seals will stick usually, but it won't be that difficult to get it off.

My 89 doesn't have them, instead it's got pins. Makes it great putting the top back on, just get it lined up and one last bump pops it in. LInes all the rest of the bolts up NICE!
