I took my top off yesterday, and the header seal looks a little dry. I don't want to replace it, but is there anything I can do to restore it, or lubricate it so it will last a little longer? Thanks

I would think any of the commercialy available things...Armorall, etc would work just fine. A guy that runs an upholstery shop here suggested, to a customer, that he rub baby oil on all the rubbers seals on his Mustang.

Just dont buy new seals from LMC. I ordered all of them and they were all a inch too short and the seal that goes on the cab was made just a little different from OEM so that it couldn't work.

Ditto on the Baby Oil tip.....I do my door gaskets pretty regularly also....if you replace a Top gasket, I'd pay the extra to a dealer....they fit better...JD

I'm at 10th and Plum....10 miles from nowhere, and Plum out in the sticks....Stuck?...Hell no..I still got some gas left..
