My setup is 350, th350, 4.10's, and 35" tires. Top speed is about 90-95mph, and surprisingly stable. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

On 35's with 3.73's, 355 and SM465 I've gone 104 mph once. 92 mph while flat towing another Blazer in Oklahoma (long story...)

On worn 39.5's and 4.56's I've gone about 80...real stable but the 6.2 was running out of R's./forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

I've had my 77 K5 with 3.73 and almost bald 35's up to around 85 or 90, but had to slow down because of traffic. The truck was still pulling too. It got a little jumpy at those speed though. It really loved the grooves in the highway.

I was clocked by the local highway patrol at over 272 MPH....

First Gen Blazers are a magical, wonderful, truck.

.......did I say MPH? Ooops, I meant Inches per hour. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I used to have 38x15" TSL radials on 4.10s with a 465, I *could* cruise at about 85 pretty easily, but it was scaaaaary when you stepped on the brakes. Everything was in great condition, it was just a lot of tire for the 1/2 ton brakes to try to stop.

I have an Autometer speedo that goes to 160, it was calibrated with a conversion box at the speedo output on the t-case by putting the truck on a dyno at the speedo shop when they made the box. My speedo was spot on when I had the 38s and 4.10s.

Got to about 105. My buddy couldnt believe that my truck with all of our offroad gear/camping gear was going as fast as his little "sports coupe".

He did beat me after that though. Not to mention.. GAS IS PRICY.

I know how fast I was going due to the tachometer. I have a manual transmission so no slippage and it's easily calculated.

I have 38s, 4.10, and a 350. I can get to about 75 before before it gets squirrely. Anything after that and I get suction (my hind parts involuntarily clenching the seat). Plus, if I ever had to do any high speed maneuvers with a lincoln-locked rear end (like swerve to miss a deer), I'd have to change my drawers.

You guy's are crazy! If I get my truck up to 85 I am white knuckling it! I drive to Utah a lot from Vegas and the wind blows my truck all over the highway. I don't know if it is common, but my steering is kind of loose already and it's like playing a game of happy medium between the steer and the wind! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
