Winner: Brian Waddell in the 72 Suburb (that's a shortened and bobbed suburban)
    2nd: Stephen Watson in the 82 K5
3rd: Ferris M-something in the pink Ford Roadster

From the sound of things, this is the closest to a tie for first there's been, but Brian didn't leave us any room to mess up, and we had a couple of mistakes. At least he's running a Doubler!

We won't have official results until the magazine comes out, but they did tell us the top 3, and there were a few things that were obvious.
Brian won the mud pit with the only full run, and I'm pretty sure he won the acceleration test. He also had a strong run in the Mini Rubicon and Obstacle course, and a good finish (actually finished) in the Tank Trap.
We whupped some butt on the Mini Rubicon (no stops, no reverses, no spotter, and we think less than 4 minutes overall), won the obstacle course and engineering, did well in acceleration, and had strong finishes in everything else. I made some mental mistakes in the tank trap and we didn't do well at all in that.

One really good note, we never had to work on anything (except a little mud in the throttle return springs one time), made no adjustments other than tire pressure and only had 5 miles on the truck at the start of the competition. We also stopped by Moab on the way back and ran Potato Salad, the Dump Bump and some of Hell's revenge. We could wash it and go run the competition again. Overall, the truck worked great.

We'll be putting some pics of the Blazer and what few competition pics we have up on our website over the next few days. We didn't get a lot of shots at TTC due to the timeframe and the fact we were in it!
We'll also be starting to catch up with your questions on the forum as we go. It's not going to be all at once, and I probably won't get to them all, but we can get started. Thanks for your patience over the last few months. We didn't bring home a win for the K5's, but we sure impressed a lot of folks with what a Blazer can do!

Congrats Steve, great job considering you had like o test time, I also like the seats. [IMG]
I think if you would have been allowed to sport a ColoradoK5 sticker that may have been enough to push you into first place. [IMG]

But man, zero test time with all those mods you were doing....man, I'm definately impressed with your skills/truck!! CONGRATS!!

Great job, glad to see I voted for at least one person in the top 3 [IMG]. The truck looks awesome and you seem like an excellent representative for four wheelers everywhere. Congrats man.

Great Job Stephen! I have a copy of a spy photo of your rig as my wallpaper (hope nobody minds[IMG]). I am very impressed with your engineering skills and had no doubt you would do well. Your company has done well in the past by providing parts to many participants of the TTC. I am very happy for you that you attended with your test vechicle. No breakage is a very good indication to Offroad Design's quality and workmanship. Glad to have you on "Our" team! I cannot wait to see your rig in person. Keep up the good work.

Got to take my hat off to you Stephen. To go from a bunch of parts on the floor of the shop to 2nd place in that short of a time. Too bad ORD is not being used on the trucks show for that 88 K-5 they are doing. It would make it a much better truck. Congrats!!

I thought I was wrong once,
    but I was mistaken

Good job to you and all of the ORD team that helped you. I may be wrong, but you seem to bummed about not wining. Well I can totally understand, but I look at it like this.
To start off it is very cool just to see that you were chosen to be one of the top 75 trucks even being considered to be in the competition. Then to be chosen out of those 75 to be one of the TOP 10 competitors and get to compete, that is AWESOME. GOOD DAMN JOB. Win or lose, that alone kicks ass and says quite allot about you and your company.
Ferris McCullem, the pink hotrod, and Pat Brownfield his spotter are good freinds of mine. They nothing but good things to say about you and the rest of the competitors. They did say that they thought a few of the guys there were way out of thier league.(I wont mention any names) So don't worry be happy, you guys didn't let anyone down.
Oh yah, I was under the impression that you guys had some issues with your front air locker. yes or no.
I can't wait to see the mag and get the video.
