torque converter?

    What are the symptoms of a bad torque converter.

    No movement.

    grinding in park/neutral, or drive alone could also be signs the bearings are failing.

    Seriously, if the converter *fails* you won't be moving, and will likely take the rest of the tranny with it, as metal particles contaminate the whole thing. At best an entire teardown, rebuild is necessary.

    yeah, i agree with dorian, a bad convertor took out my front pump, so i have two choices. rebuild the pump for 35 bucks, and maybe work for a while. or tear down the whole thing and rebuild it.
    well option 3 is get a manual...
