I have an 84 jimmy with a junk 700R4. So, I just bought a 88 700R4 transmission for it. I was wondering if the stock torque converter is going to work for the different years in tranny's. thanks for the help

Ok I'm done. OH DAMN!! It broke again.

it should work just fine. mkae sure the spline count is the same. I don't think they changed it between those years.
    good luck

It should work they changed the splines from `84-`93 from 27 to 30 spline. If you have a 27 spline it just won`t fit the torque converter will not go into the transmission.
