Just wondering where you people get your torque wrenches calibrated. I am willing to ship it if the cost and or accuracy is good. I found a place locally, but they want $40 to do it. How does that compare to what you've found?

I am pretty sure mine needs it after a little test with my wrench and a buddy's Snap-On. It appears that mine is almost 40 ft/lbs on the tight side! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

i take it you have one of the nicer ones that clicks when it hits the # you tell it to stop at?
i cant help you if you do...

if its the older style with 2 bars, one with the tip that points to a scale, you can just put the end in a vice and bend it the other way
do it till it stays at 0...you can actually get it pretty close that way...

Mine is a Strapon, I dropped it off at the Strapon truck one week and it came back the next, it was 45 bucks and certified.

We have a truck come by and do all the torque wrenches at work every few months. Our welding machines get done at the same time./forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
