I know this is a chevy forum but you all seem to be intellegent people. One of my buddies just blew the t-case out on his Dodge Dakota and I was wondering how much it would cost to rebuild. The thing will need a complete rebuild it was messed up becasue he was pulling someone out and and ground it in to 4-wheel. (that was his first mistake) So it hasnt worked for a while well it would work but had grinding issues (you could hear it gring when it was in 4-wheel). Then the other day he got stuck and instead of letting it be tried to use 4-wheel and blew it out now you can hear things grinding and making all sorts of noise even when in two wheel drive and 4-wheel does nothing. This is a 93-95 Dodge Dakota V8 (318) Auto Trans. Like I said It will need a complete rebuild thanks for the help. Maybe next time he will think twice before buying a dodge.
