Well, tommorow is going to be by far the saddest day of the year, and definitely a tough note to end 2006, and start 2007 on.

As some of you may know, last January we received a foriegn exhange student from New Plymouth, of New Zealand. Since arriving here with her quaint accent, and dainty aroura about her, she has truely become a sister to me, and a close member of our family. She turned out to have a truely redneck streak to her, and fell in love with camping, fishing, quadding, and even bush chicken hunting, all favourite pass times of our family.

Tommorow morning at 10:00am, her plane leaves for LA, then to New Zealand after a 9 hour layover -- Its a 5 hour flight from Edmonton to LA, then a 13 hour flight from LA to New Zealand.

Tears will be shed, and I'll be pretty bummed for a couple of days :(

Thanks for letting me vent, but its really hard to say goodbye to someone as close as Anna has been.

    Oh yeah...

It must be quite sucky to have her leaving.

Here are two of my favourite pics of her :D

One from this summer, out bush chicken hunting, and one from just this last weekend, out at the farm :) That girl was deadly accurate with that .22, outshot me 10:1, and had never touched a gun prior to that camping trip, lol

And absolutely we'll be keeping in touch... I'm already planning a trip for her 21st birthday in two years, which will involve renting a couple quads in New Plymouth, and going quadding around the base of the mountain... Maybe I can even convince our New Plymouth member to let me borrow his imported American K5 to haul the quads to the mountain with ;)

Nah, it wasn't like that, feel a lot like asking my blood sister to marry me, lol

Just that she was part of the family, and it all just kinda came to a sudden end.

She is on the plane now, and will be in transit for the next 28 hours till she finally gets to Auckland. Be another hour or two till she gets home from there...
