Im in the market for a new tow strap and i was looking at the 20,000 lbs Pro-Comp one because its the only one i can find besides a cheap one from an auto parts store, but does any one else make one that is reasonably priced and pretty strong cause i dont want one that is going to break the first time i use it
    Thanks

Look in JC Whitney. Mine is made by Keeper. It's 30 ft long and 4" wide and rated at 40,000 lbs. I think it was about $60, but well worth it. I've used it for over a year now and it has held up well.

I have a 30,000 lb Keeper strap. Personally I don't know if I would go below that in weight rating. Our rigs weigh 5000lb+ and with a jerk in the line I don't know if 4x the weight of the truck of our trucks is enough. I would have bought the 40K strap, but my dad got this one threw his company. So I am not complaining.

I got mine at a Farm & Tractor Supply store (Atwoods). Its rated at 75,000lbs!! I love it! I used to go through straps like crazy but Ive had this one 2yrs and it looks like new! Dont ever buy a strap rated under 30,000lbs and if your a big bogger like me I wouldnt settle for under 50,000lb!

I have tried the 2" x 30" straps before and broke 3 of them.

    I got a 3" x 30' strap and it's still with me today.

From my experience, do NOT get the 2" wide straps. They are more for the smaller vehicles like Jeeps.

yeah, i use 3" straps also. 30,000 lbs may seem like overkill... but it really isnt for a great big full size.
