My friends dad owns a towing business that specializes in offroad recovery but they do the normal impounding stuff too. Well he was driving back from picking up a drunk driver's S10 when he blacked out and drifted off the road into a telephone pole. The only injury he suffered was a broken ankle. Being that it was a cabover truck, I'd say he is damn lucky. Insurance gave him $60k for the truck and he bought it back from them for $1600 to part out. I am getting the air break tank and the seats :D Anyway here's pics.

Was up in Utah and saw a cabover semi tractor in the parkin lot behind the truck stop next to the hotel I was stayin in that looked like a giant's fist had punched starting at the lower right corner by the bumper and ended up behind where the driver sits. Looked over it pretty good and saw things like motor mounts broken, turbo mounts broken, basically lots of things broken.

The kicker is the driver of that mangled truck was stayin in the same hotel as I with cuts and scratches and a broken arm.

The way a friend put it after riding in my '66 Econoline van was "You're the first one to the scene of the accident."

    Who get the hydro winch?

His slogan is "Over Sand Dunes, Across Mud Flats, We Go There, We Do That". He bought an old 4x4 firetruck from one of the local departments and is going to put the bed from this wrecked truck on it, along with the winch. We were tryin to get the hydraulics to work and figured out that; it will still run, its stuck in a high gear, one of the oil lines to the turbo is broken, the motor mounts are broken, and the little vacuum hose the engages the PTO for the hydraulic pump is broken.
