tpi computers difference?

    What is the difference between the vette #01227727 and the camaro #01227730 ecm's?
    I have an 86 manifold so I can use the old heads and the newer plenum and tubes so theres no cold stat inj. or maf........ which one should I go with?

    I belive the vette computor is set up for a bigger cam and more compression. Other than that I belive they are the same. Either one will work. If you have both of them, then try each of them and see which on you like.

    Depends on what year they are from. The earlier Camaro ones (don't know about the Vette ones [​IMG]) prior to '89 are different as they are for the MAF systems. Sorry, don't know what year your part numbers match up with. For a Speed Density setup you need the later model computer.

    Desertdueler: thanks I think thats what I'm lookin for but the plugs are different; one with three and one with four plugs. Also i'm going to buy off ebay.

    BlazinOR:Both computers are from late models and are for speed density but there are two different numbers? Which one did you use in your setup? BTW good lookin rig saw some pics on interior and engine looks sweet!
