For some reason my TPS needs reset (disconnect the battery) in order for my transmission to shift gears. This has happened twice after a long trip on the interstate (300 miles) Anyone know why I would need to reset the TPS to get it to shift?

All of this started after I replaced my original TPS (check engine light came on... code-TPS set too low). My new one is nonadjustable just like the original.

Any info would be greatly apprediated! Thanks

    I have a 91 K5...

I have an 87 k5 , when i had shifting problems I checked the dealership for a prom update and sure enough that was the problem. Also TPS while not adjustable, just the slightest tilt while screwing it down can alter it. Although I dont think its your problem, something maybe to do with your shift cable, that is also hooked to tbi.Something to look into. Hope that was some help.
