One way: take a divorced 205 and input an engine into the original input as well as the front output. That would get you one engine higher in the frame than the other.

Another way: Put a heavy series chain sprocket on the crank flange of one engine and the crank snout of another. Butt them together and wrap short a double row chain around both sprockets. That would get you 2 (or more) engines in the frame at the same height. I know this is how the "Odd Couple" Dragster (SBC in front of a 392 Hemi) was done & I belive it is how the "Freight Train" Dragster (pair of SBC's) is done.
Couple those two ideas together and......

The 90* ones are a mystery, but I'm guessing some sort of industrial gearbox is used.

I was 'thanking' the other day while I cut grass... My Cub Cadet has 3 blades running off of a single belt- could I run 3 engines in my K5 and just hook 'em together with a belt? Ill keep you guys posted- Im headed out to the garage! "your ass is the grass, and my Blazer is the mower..."
